Education Task Force
SALC envisions a seamless and efficient P-20 educational system that promotes outstanding achievement through high standards, a rigorous curriculum, accountability and community involvement. Only such efforts will ensure that all Southern Arizona children have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Co-chairs are Roger Vogel (K-12) and Don Pitt (higher education).
SALC’s major emphasis in K-12 education is support for Tucson Values Teachers, a program to attract, retain and support the very best teachers for Tucson’s children. More information is available at www.tucsonvaluesteachers.org.
