Healthcare Task Force
Under the leadership of Chair Bruce Beach, SALC addresses critical regional healthcare issues from the perspective of the business community. Working with the Hospital Council of Southern Arizona (HCSA), the task force researches issues and works with stakeholders to develop and execute appropriate action plans. Stephanie Healy is president of the Hospital Council, and Sally Jeffcoat served as the founding chairwoman of the Hospital Council.
The task force is continuing its work on:
- Overcoming the critical shortage of local nurses.
- Helping in the further development of the Southern Arizona Health Information Exchange.
- Identifying a solution to the shortage of physicians, particularly specialists and physicians who work on call.
